Football is one of the most famous sports in North America, and the NFL Lines and Odds is more popular than ever. Bettors try to make money by placing money on a single game, a player betting prop, or NFL futures odds.

Bets can be fun and profitable during the NFL football season, especially if you put in the time and effort. OKBet does all the hard work for you, so all you have to do is read this page to learn more about how to gamble on NFL games, from the preseason to the Super Bowl, using either live odds or traditional football betting lines.

    Point Spreads

Point spreads are the most common bet in the NFL. They’re also used for college football and other sports, but they’re most commonly associated with the NFL Lines and Odds. The point spread is a number that indicates how many points (in this case, a touchdown) you think your team will score against an opponent. If you pick them to win by at least one touchdown, your bet wins. If they achieve that many points on their side of things; otherwise, it loses.

Totals are the combined score of both teams. It can be either over or under a specific number. Also, depending on how many points you want to win (or lose). It is the most common bet in football, and it’s worth noting that if your team fails to cover their point spread by more than two touchdowns. This will likely be the case for most of your bets.

The most common type of bet in football is the Moneyline. You can bet your team will win or lose by putting the same amount of money on each side. If you bet PHP 100 per game and your team wins by two touchdowns, you would get PHP 200 back (PHP 100 x 2 = PHP 200). It can help if you’re new to betting games. And want to take advantage of a significant underdog but need more experience.

How much you get if you win a Moneyline bet depends on how many points separate your team from the other team (or spread). For example, if two teams had 5-0 records and 24 points going into this week’s game. The one team would win outright, and the other would need help from their defense or special teams unit to beat their opponent (s).

A parlay is when two or more bets are placed on the same team, event, or player. A big profit can made if the main bet or all the parlays are won. For example, if you bet PHP100 on the Colts to beat the Jets at home and they win by 10 points, you will  get PHP1,000 back (you made money because you were able to back them up). But if they also covered their opening line of -312 points. It would cost you PHP600, your total return would be PHP2,000 (PHP1,000 for each pick plus PHP1,000 for wrapping).

NFL Teaser bets are a way to change point spreads so that they work better for the bettor. Like a parlay, you need all of your bets to win your ticket. However, you can change the point spread or total lines that sportsbooks give you to lower your risk. Teasers usually start at 6 points and can go as high as 15 points. But the most common ones involve picking two or three teams and teasing the NFL lines by 6, 6.5, or 7 points.

    Live Betting

When you bet on a football game after it has already started, you are “in play.” For each drive, live odds and lines will available, and bets can made on almost every option in the “extras” section above. You can also bet on the “result of drive,” which is how a team will do on a particular drive. For example, you can bet on whether the quarterback will throw an interception on his next pass, complete his next pass, or the team will score.

How much time is gone in the game will determine the available odds. Like the stock market, the odds change quickly based on what’s happening on the field. These markets are for more experienced NFL bettors and would not be a good choice for a first-time bettor.
