Daniel has won two World Poker Tour titles, was named Player of the Year in Season 3 and is ranked second on the WPT career money list. He attended the University of Madrid and worked as a bartender before moving to the United States to play poker in the late 1990s. Mortensen, also known as ‘El Matador,’ has three World Poker Tour (WPT) titles and has cashed for more than $6.7 million on the WPT alone, more than any other player.

    Chris Moneymaker’s victory in the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, which he won after winning a $39 online satellite, is widely regarded as the start of the poker boom.
